When you attempt to start the DB2® Content Manager OnDemand Version 8.4 server on Red Hat Enterprise Linux® 5 (RHEL5), you might get the following error message:
“./arssockd: error while loading shared libraries: libldap-2.2.so.7:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. ”
DB2 Content Manager OnDemand is built using the OpenLDAP Version 2.2 Library, and this library might not ship with your current version of RHEL5.
You need to create a link to the current LDAP library installed on the system to start OnDemand.
Example for LDAP 2.3:
ln -s libldap-2.3.so.0.2.15 libldap-2.2.so.7
